The Engineering Department requires the skills and expertise of both Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

  • An Electrical Engineer ensures the Efficient running of the Electrical department, ensuring high standards of maintenance and safety so that long term and short term reliability of machinery is obtained. He/she also manages electrical projects related to maintenance and energy efficiency. The minimum requirements for applying for a position in this field is BSc Engineering (Electrical)/Btech(H/C)
  • A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the Effective implementation and organisation of the maintenance system, the standards and statutory responsibilities of a designated area of responsibility. He/she would require a National Diploma/B.Sc, GCC (Factories/Mines). Advantageous to this position would be a B.Tech / B.SC

The Production Department is a partner of the Engineering department and requires the skills and expertise of Production Planners and Crusher Processing.

  • Production Planners are responsible for the maintenance of the statistical database, collation of all production statistics and reports, monitoring and reconciliation of all production stock including raw, WIP and finished goods. A National Diploma in Production Management, Chemical Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Crusher processing ensures optimum production of the raw milling and coal milling within laid down parameters. A matric certificate; Business Communications and Business Numeracy Skills (Level 2) , Tertiary qualification Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Production is the minimum requirement for this portfolio.

Payroll Administration: A payroll administrator is responsible for ensuring all employees are remunerated correctly for services rendered; capturing payroll source documents; overseeing and managing benefits and leave and ensuring all employees’ records are up-to-date. They are also responsible for all staff movements such as new employees and terminations as well as organisational restructures, promotions and demotions as well as ensuring employees information is captured correctly.

Qualifications: Matric, 2 years working experience. HR degree or Diploma would be advantageous

HR Specialist are the support to all the department in terms of maintaining employee relations. Human Resources specialists need to have an understanding of the Acts to assist managers with legal compliances and advise. HR Specialist also provide administrative support e.g. Report submission, employee take on, benefit administration e.t,c.

To acquire a job as a Human Resources specialist, one needs to have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or other related field from a recognized institution of higher education. Some may also prefer a degree in Business Management and Industrial Relations.

The Communication Specialist’s role is to increase the level of involvement and motivation of employees through robust, agile and transparent communication, by planning and executing strategic campaigns for the company. He/She will also plan, manage and implement a dynamic communication mix – electronic and printed publications, videos, hotsites, intranet and actions from the management team. The position requires the professional to align company events, branding, communication with a special emphasis on HR programmes. Minimum Requirements for a position in this field is a National Diploma in Public  Relations, Communication or similar, with 2 years experience in a similar role, fluent in English.

Mobility Specialist – is responsible for the delivery of authorized relocation and assignment management services to executive level transferees with the additional responsibilities of in-person, highly personalized support during key events and throughout the relocation. Successful candidates must have a proven track record of working effectively in a complex, multi-needs business environment dealing with a variety of different priorities and issues, under minimal direction or supervision.

Qualification – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.  Minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience administering all aspects of Global Mobility Programs (Immigration, Relocation, Domestic and Global Assignments).

Admin Supervisor – strong organisational, detail-orientated with good analytical skills to run day-to-day operations are required for this position.

Qualifications – Business Administration or equivalent

Credit Control- The job mainly entails: Credit vetting; reviewing customer’s credit status and setting up of the credit control system; Identifying changes in payment patterns and proposing action to avert indebtedness; dealing with internal and external queries regarding outstanding payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiate re-payment plans; build relationship with sales department and customers to ensure credit and collection issues are resolved smoothly.

Minimum Qualification:  Diploma in Credit Management; analytical acumen; high level of diplomacy and excellent interpersonal skills

Treasury Clerk-  The job mainly entails processing of invoices and credits where applicable; reconciliation of supplier accounts to resolve invoice discrepancies and queries; processing journals while ensuring correct GL allocation; import and export batches into banking system for payments; daily banking reconciliation and assisting in monthly end closing

Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 with general math skills, Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements; High degree of accuracy and communication skills

Logistics Co-ordinator

A logistics co-ordinator is responsible to plan, control and monitor the activities concerned with the forward and reverse flow and storage of goods, services and information between the point of origin and the point of sale to meet a specific customer need.  He / she ensures that the right product is delivered to the right customer at the right quantity at the right time at the lowest possible cost.

The requirement for a logistics co-ordinator is Nat Dip in Logistics or Supply Chain Management with experience in inventory management, warehousing and transportation.

Inbound Co-ordinator

An inbound co-ordinator is responsible to plan, control and monitor the activities concerned with the flow and storage of raw and semi-finished products and information between the point of sourcing and the point of consumption to meet the manufacturing supply and demand plan.  He / she maintains adequate stock levels of raw and semi-finished products to ensure production continuity whilst monitoring capacity constraints.

The requirement for a logistics co-ordinator is Nat Dip in Logistics or Supply Chain Management with experience in inventory management, transportation and material requirement planning.

A SHE Practitioner needs very strong interpersonal skills as he liaises with all teams and at all hierarchical levels. He is responsible to set systems in place to manage safety to prevent Incidents, accidents and injuries.

These systems are set on a good base of risk assessments. A strong knowledge of The Occupational Health and Safety Act and The Mines Health and Safety Act are essential. The requirements for a candidate is Samtrac or a ND Safety Management and a minimum of 5 years work experience in heavy industry.

Sales and Operation Planning is responsible for the planning of all operational business units which includes sales, production, logistics, procurement and finance. The minimum educational requirement for this position is a degree in Supply Chain or Statistics. Senior to Executive Managerial experience is compulsory with a minimum of 5 – 10 years in an S & OP or a similar position.

Commodities specialist

The main functions of the commodities specialist are as follows:

  • To develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for direct goods
  • Understanding the business needs, and scanning the market to capture opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing and adjustments of contracts
  • Category management of expenses
  • Develop and work within a budget
  • Manage relationships with internal and external customers
  • Transactional and Strategic Procurement

Qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or similar field
  • CIPS Qualification will be advantageous
  • 3 – 5 years in a junior or middle management role in Procurement

Senior Buyer/Buyer

The main functions of the Buyer and/or Senior Buyer are as follows

  • Transactional and Strategic Procurement of indirect goods
  • Understanding the business needs, and scanning the market to capture opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing and adjustments of contracts
  • Manage relationships with internal and external customers

Qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or similar field
  • CIPS Qualification will be advantageous
  • 2 – 3 years in a junior management or supervisory role in Procurement

 Stores Supervisor

The main functions of the Stores Supervisor are as follows

  • Supervisory function of the maintenance stores; the function and the staff
